Heart Healthy Meals … Delivered

Even though I’m batch cooking and even though I’m able to get some greens, now that I’m grocery shopping only once a week, I’m struggling a bit to make heart-healthy food choices.  I’m also very, very tired of having to think and plan ahead for every single meal, every single day while we (still) shelter-in-place.

So I was intrigued by an offer recently sent to me from Splendid Spoon. Ordinarily, I prefer to cook my own heart-healthy foods and would not consider a home-delivered meal plan. I’m not a smoothie person, but soups and grain bowls intrigue for lunches when I don’t have proteins or veggies left over from batch cooking (or am sick of them).

You can order just lunches—5 bowls delivered weekly—or breakfast and lunch. And there are 40+ flavors to choose from: you choose your meals, and there are lots of flavor profiles and options. I easily found more than 5 appealing options.
